SH2-240 - the Spaghetti Nebula (also known as Simeis 147), is a very faint large supernova remnant on the border between Auriga and Taurus. It is approx 3 ° across and roughly 3,000 light-years from Earth. It was formed about 40,000 years ago when a large star went supernova. The explosion left behind a pulsar in the nebula core which emits a strong radio signal.
The nebula is extremely faint & even with 29 hours of exposure time with narrowband filters in his Bortle 5 garden, James says processing was still a struggle.
